Are Sarasota real estate prices dropping? ›

Overall, prices are falling, and it's taking longer for homes to sell in the North Port-Sarasota-Bradenton area, according to the data, which show median sale prices dropping and median days on the market increasing. The trend is a divergence from what the rest of the country is seeing.

Many homes in Sarasota County are selling fast, if you're buying plan to act quickly. Summary: During May 2024, 1138 homes were sold in Sarasota County; 38% of homes were sold within 30 days, 34% of homes were sold within 30 to 90 days, and 28% of homes were sold over 90 days.
